Shal Ahmed is an aspiring writer and entrepreneur. "I am Arden" is her debut work in the children's genre. She has authored several other literary works, including young adult, children's, fiction, and professional guide books. Ms. Ahmed was born in NY; she studied economics at Princeton University, and later graduated with a masters degree in business administration from Harvard University. She worked as an investment manager at several blue chip financial services firms in Manhattan, NY, prior to leaving Wall Street to raise her three young sons. Now that they are all in school, she is finally pursuing her dream of writing and entrepreneurship. She enjoys reading all genres of books, running, traveling, and watching cooking shows.
