Author Description
Gretchen Huff is an author and artist who lives in Tucson Arizona. Early in her career she was an elementary school teacher and was very active in creating programs to excite children about learning. She developed a nationwide program in elementary schools called The Creative Writing Lab. Children were encouraged to write their own stories and illustrate their own books. The final versions were bound and placed in the school libraries so they could be checked out like any other book. The Colorsaurus Book is one that she created for her 2 young children in the early 1970's. It has been shared with many people over the years and still seems to have magical content for young readers. Nearly 40 years later, Gretchen's grandchildren are now enjoying the book and are the inspiration to finally publish this nifty little book about prehistoric pigment.
