Reflections of the Soul: That Simply Overflows represents an explosion of art that Mkatbelin began painting over three years ago. This book includes original poetry, paint, and prose all by Mkatbelin. The goal of this book is to have the reader unwind into a world of verse and image that will stimulate the senses while calming the soul. If the reader smiles or chuckles, even better. This is a collection of things burned into the memory of the artist since childhood in the rural South. It also contains one essay (prose) entitled "The Day the Artist Died," which is fiction and an introduction to Mkatbelin's writing style. Please look for her novel, Eye Water to Cry With, which is forthcoming.
