Author Description
B.D. Cottleston is the pretend name of a real writer who wants to leave it to the reader to enjoy these stories without worrying about what B.D. was thinking when they were written. As a life-long fan of Winnie the Pooh, B.D. picked this pen name to celebrate the spirit of Pooh's greatest rhyme. As Pooh might say: "Cottleston, Cottleston, Cottleston pie. A fly can't bird, but a bird can fly. Ask who B.D. is and we'll reply: Cottleston, Cottleston, Cottleston pie."
Marcin Piwowarski was born in 1972 and has pursued both an international and domestic career in painting and children's book illustration. He is self-taught in traditional as well as digital illustration and has managed to make over one thousand books during his twenty-year artistic journey. His artwork is mostly inspired by nature, daily life, and music. He likes to mix magical and mysterious ambience with down to earth elements of every-day reality, which results in thrilling, but comprehensible pieces which are loved by children and adults equally. As a father of three kids, he understands what to include in his art for it to be adored and eye-catching. Despite all of that, the most important thing about his persona is, as he says, that he prefers tea over coffee.
