Sunbonnet Days
By: Minnie Catharine Shank & Kimberly Allison Conroy
Kimberly Allison Conroy has curated a collection of her grandmother Minnie Catharine Shank's poetry, written from 1920 (when she was just thirteen years old) until 1979. This insightful collection, while personal, also reflects the joys and trials of the times she was living through. Her early years were spent with her siblings at the National Orphans Home in Tiffin, Ohio. This orphanage is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. She lived through the Depression and lost loved ones to World War II. Her themes of love and family are timeless.
