Are You Addicted to Cooked Food? Raw food, fasting, detoxification. What does all this mean, and why should we care? Encoded somewhere deep in our very essence is the idea that our incredibly resistant bodies can be endlessly abused, overstrained and put through incessant challenges, posed by contamination, wrong lifestyle, mental strain and stress, as if it were indestructible. The purpose of this book is to inspire and inform, so that you too can make wise decisions, just as the author did. Ladislav Kovac is a world-renowned advocate of raw food and fasting. Description
Author Description
Originally a viola player in various orchestras in Slovakia as well as abroad, Ladislav Kovac worked in numerous professions, from construction worker to editor, journalist, and author. He has published short stories, feuilletons, glosses, and aphorisms in literary magazines and newspapers, and materials for radio. For many years, he worked as the Humour and Satire literary editor for Czechoslovak Radio and as an editor-journalist in the Bratislava Monthly. Living abroad for twenty-seven years in the Near East and in Mexico has influenced his work, his way of thinking, and his philosophy. Ladislav fell seriously ill as a result of bad nutrition. He spent 15,000 hours studying and experimenting with natural healing, nutrition and fasting; an experience that changed his life. "The health situation of man has never been as bad as it is today," he says. "Thanks to our gluttony, it is only going to get worse." More than twenty years ago he discovered his inner doctor, present in each of us, and since then, neither he nor any member of his family has entered a doctor's office. Ladislav Kovac owns the art agency Kovac Promociones, and is known worldwide as a raw food and fasting advocate. He is a member of the National Health Association and the American Natural Hygiene Society.
