Close the Door is part of a picture book collection designed to introduce toddlers and young children to basic concepts and help them establish positive lifelong habits. Close the Door uses rhyme and repetition, as well as colorful illustrations, to capture a child's attention and build vocabulary. The story and pictures in Close the Door give added meaning to the concepts of "open" and "close" and show what could happen if an entry door is left open. Not only could unwanted animals get inside, the people that live in the house can get very upset. While the book demonstrates the need to build good habits, it also shows that there could be another way to solve a problem. If your child does not think to close the door or gate, this book may help.
