Jason Cobb, a lonely middle-aged man, finds himself stranded in the country due to car trouble. There is a storm brewing above, and there is something watching him from the trees. The only refuge is an old house. Other people are there. They seek refuge too. Strangely, they have no idea how they got there. Jason tries to spend the night in the house. But something comes into his room. In a panic he discovers that his car is functional and he escapes. Later, he examines the area on satellites pictures. There is no house there. The Waypoint is an exploration into the dangers of isolation and neglect. Jason undergoes an odyssey through the realm beyond the borders of the "house", while unearthing the parts of his life that shaped him. In undertaking such a trip, he's left his body unguarded. Something old and malicious begins to surface in him, as a battle begins for his very soul.
