Including 30 walks with stops at more than 180 fine pubs, this practical pocket-sized guide covers every part of London, from the heart of the city and the bustling West End to majestic riverside routes and the leafy Wimbledon common. Each pub on every walk has been selected for its high quality ale, its location, and its superb architectural heritage. Trails of varying lengths suit everyone from the casual pub goer to active walkers, and there are routes to suit pub architecture aficionados, shoppers, theater goers, literary lovers, and beer tourists. The walks are accompanied by an easy-to-follow map, detailed pub listings with hours of operation, average walking times, and notes on interesting places to see along the way. Each starts and finishes close to public transportation and many link to adjacent walks. Neat, compact, and highly informative, this is the perfect companion for a day out discovering the real London.
