Too often the scientific education presents Science as a series of unrelated facts that students must memorize to pass tests. But Science is much more interesting than that. This book shows the relationship between different aspects of Science by following an electron as it exists in an apple as the result of photosynthesis to when it ultimately provides the energy human beings need to survive as the result of metabolism. Psychologists have known for sometime that people learn by associating what they are learning with what they already know in a process known as, "schemata." However, the scientific education ignores this knowledge and teaches science as a series of abstract meaningless fragments unrelated to anything in the student's lives. This book seeks to associate what students are learning with what they already know by using analogies using things familiar to students in their everyday lives associating what they are learning with what they already know, such as comparing the energy in adenosine triphosphate to a pogo stick.
