I like to travel, but I hate how long it takes at the airport sometimes. There are so many people and it takes so long to show your passport and paperwork.

Well, hopefully there won't be any more long lines at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Because they are starting to try out their new "One ID" facial recognition system.
桃園國際機場開始使用新的臉部辨識系統，就不用排隊了！
This system is designed to try to make lines move along a little bit faster.
With this new system, airport officials won't have to spend time looking through passports and documents…

The One ID system can scan people's faces, which makes everything go a lot faster.

When a machine scans your face, it makes a map of it. No one has the same face, so every map is different, and that's how the machine knows it is you when it sees your face!

With the One ID system, travelers can go directly from getting their boarding passes to getting on the plane, and all they need to do in between is get their face scanned!
