Do you like cell phones? I think they're great. We can use them anywhere! We can do many things with cell phones. We can call people. We can text our friends. We can take pictures.

The first cell phone was super big. It was heavy. It weighed one kilogram! People could only talk for 25 minutes. That is very short!

Martin Cooper is called the 'father of the cell phone.' He made the world's first cell phone. He made it in 1973. That was 50 years ago!
Martin Cooper 在 1973 年,也就是 50 年前,發明了世界上第一支手機,所以又被叫做「手機之父」。

Mr Cooper's cell phone was about 5,000 US dollars. That's over 150,000 NT dollars.
