Author Description

About the Author The author is a life-long horse lover. She grew up on a farm living with, and learning from, our four legged friends as she herself made her way to adulthood. Since that time, Dr. Savage has spent years of loving, enjoying, respecting, training and continuing to live with equine friends at a horse ranch of her own. She has bred, raised and trained horses for competition, families and for equine-assisted therapy. Through all the amazing, funny and poignant experiences that have come with those efforts, she has grown to have a unique and gifted ability to see the compassion, the humor, the vibrancy for life and the healing that horses have to offer us. She has experienced our equine friends in a depth that few people are privileged to know. In her life experiences outside of horse ranching, Dr. Savage has also been a long time researcher, a University of Washington instructor and Purdue University professor. During all of these experiences Dr. Savage has maintained a passion for being a life coach as well. She currently lives in Vermont, still loving, living and laughing with her equine friends and continuing to share what she has learned from them with all of us as we travel on each life's journey; finding our way one day at a time, as together, we peer around the next bend in our paths.
